What has Xander accomplished? So much. I could write pages and pages about the first time he said a spontaneous, appropriate complete sentence, learned to read, said, "I love you" first. Xander accomplishes so much everyday just by learning to adapt and deal with a world that has a different view from him. He teaches me patience, he gives joy. Below is a link to a video of how much Xander accomplished over the last year and a half. He works so hard.
I loved watching the video! Xander is adorable. Thank you for joining us in this weeks blog hop.
ReplyDeleteAgain....this video AMAZES me. To hear his voice....and hear him communicate....is unbelievable! All those things he's wanted to say are now coming out!!! :) BTW, Xander....I love Reggae too!

ReplyDelete@Life - We've done several therapies as documented here: http://happy13-waitwhat.blogspot.com/2010/03/ill-do-it-my-way-thank-you-very-much.html
ReplyDeleteBerard AIT is the therapy that we saw the most drastic, instant results with. The first part of the video is right before, the 2nd part is during the Berard therapy and the last part is 9 months later.
Here's the link to their website. http://www.berardaitwebsite.com/
Only those on this site are certified as valid Berard AIT practitioners. Beware of anyone not listed.
I'm not watching this again..I almost had a stroke the first time!
ReplyDeleteLynn, no embolisms allowed!
ReplyDeleteWow. What a conversation! I think I would faint if I could get my boy to engage in such a sustained and appropriate talk. And he's 13.
ReplyDeleteAdorable smile too!
Xander is adorable. And I love his cute little vocie! he has came so far! I can not tell you how jealous I am at his vocal skills. I would die to have a chance to sit down and have a talk like that with my son. You are truly blessed. Xander is such a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie too! :)
What an astonishing progression! And a gorgeous kiddo too! (Blog hop)
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone. He really has come a long way. We still can't have a back and forth conversation with him; however, he can answer the hell out of some questions.
ReplyDeleteJust passing through from the blog hop. Xander is adorable....and MY how articulate! Just from the video I am amazed to see his progression.
ReplyDeleteI have a 4 year old on the spectrum...we're really behind on the language thing, but have high hopes w/ ABA. :)
